        Join a UCM Project
        Before you create a UCM ClearCase® view, you must specify a UCM project with which it will be associated. Your project leader can supply this information and the name of the Project VOB and folder in which you can find the project.

        Create or specify a development stream and a development view in which to work on UCM project activities.
        Create a ClearCase® UCM integration view
        In a typical UCM project, you work on activities in a development view and deliver completed activities to an integration view. In a single-stream UCM project, all users work on activities in an integration view.

        You can integrate UCM activities with Jazz Team Server work items by using the integration between IBM® ClearTeam® Explorer and Rational® Team Concert.

It automates the processes of finding the versions that require a merge, starting a merge, and tracking the progress of a merge. It allows you to suspend and resume merges as needed.

Activating the integration between Rational® Team Concert and UCM

The ClearTeam® Explorer version 8.0.0.2 (or later) supports associations between Jazz™ Team Server version 4.0 (or later) work items and DevOps Code ClearCase® UCM activities.

Before you begin

ClearTeam® Explorer must be installed into the same Eclipse shell as your installation of Rational® Team Concert.

Procedure

To activate the integration between Rational® Team Concert and DevOps Code ClearCase® UCM:

In Eclipse, select Windows -> Preferences -> Team -> IBM® ClearTeam® Explorer -> ClearTeam Explorer.
Ensure that the Enable associations between UCM activities and an external Task Provider plug-in option is checked.
This option is on by default. If this option is cleared, the integration between Rational® Team Concert and DevOps Code ClearCase® UCM is disabled.
