About using the ClearCase Pending Changes view

The ClearCase® Pending Changes view enables you to preview and resolve changes to the current web view or automatic view.

Various changes to a ClearCase view may be pending at any given time. These include incoming changes to resources in your current view made by other users and outgoing changes you make to resources that will be seen by other users. You can use the ClearCase Pending Changes view to preview and resolve incoming and outgoing changes.

Differences created by changes to the same lines of files are called conflicts. Conflicts may be incoming or outgoing. You can use the ClearCase Pending Changes view to preview and resolve incoming and outgoing conflicts.

Reconciling all the incoming and outgoing changes in a view is known as synchronizing the view. You can use the ClearCase Pending Changes view to synchronize the current view.

You can use the ClearCase Pending Changes toolbar to perform operations specific to the ClearCase Pending Changes view.
