Administering
Run administration and maintenance tasks to keep your environment up-to-date. For example, learn how to customize your deployment or how to use the wsadmin utility to edit configuration files. You can also schedule tasks, maintain application databases, moderate content, or manage users and their roles.
Administering Libraries
A Library provides the services of an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system to Communities. To enable the use of Libraries, you must make some configuration changes to Connections and to each ECM system that you plan to use.
Adding Linked Libraries
Enable and configure linked libraries so that Community owners can add them.
Configuring single sign-on with ECM servers
Configure single sign-on between IBM® Connections and Enterprise content manager (ECM) servers. With single sign-on enabled, users do not need to log in to IBM Connections and the ECM server separately; logging in to IBM Connections also give them access to the ECM server.

      Knowledge of FileNet® concepts can help with extension and customization of your deployment. Connections Content Manager uses the FileNet P8 Platform to store and retrieve documents in libraries.

        Prerequisites for Single Sign-On (SSO)
        There are several prerequisites for configuring single sign-on (SSO) between the WebSphere® Application Servers that underlie the IBM® Connections and ECM servers.

        Configure single sign-on (SSO) between IBM® FileNet® Collaboration Services and IBM Connections.
        Configure SSO between IBM® Content Manager and IBM® Connections
        Configure single sign-on (SSO) between IBM® FileNet® Collaboration Services and IBM Connections.
      - Enabling search in linked libraries
        You can enable content-based text search in linked libraries that are hosted on FileNet® P8. Search is disabled by default.
    - Managing ECM and CCM connectivity in a library
      Manage Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Connections Content Manager connectivity.

    Administer metrics in IBM® Connections by modifying configuration settings, backing up data, and running commands to perform maintenance tasks.

Configuring single sign-on with ECM servers

Configure single sign-on between IBM® Connections and Enterprise content manager (ECM) servers. With single sign-on enabled, users do not need to log in to IBM® Connections and the ECM server separately; logging in to IBM® Connections also give them access to the ECM server.

Note: For an existing FileNet system, ensure that single sign-on (SSO) is configured between your FileNet and IBM Connections servers. WebSphere LTPA SSO is recommended. See Configure SSO between IBM FileNet and IBM Connections for more information.
