Libraries and the Activity Stream
A library sends events from documents in the library to the Activity Stream.
For a document event to appear in a user's Activity Stream, the user must have access to the library or FileNet Teamspace. The user must also have access to the document that generated the event. For more information, see Configuring collaborative features in FileNet.
Only events visible to the entire community appear on the recent updates tab within a Community. For example, requests to review drafts do not show on the community recent updates because they are only visible to draft reviewers. Instead, these events display on the user's home page for users who are involved with the review. The recent updates tab within an embedded application shows events that are targeted to the user only. For example, if a user is a draft reviewer, they see draft review events in the recent updates tab of the embedded application for that document. However, the user does not see other events unless they were following the community or document when the event occurred.
The following table shows which events display in the Activity Stream and who sees the event.
