Deleting search term associations: Synonyms and replacements

You can delete existing synonyms or replacement terms for searches performed in your store. Deleting out-of-date search term associations can help in maintaining your synonyms and replacements, keeping consistent and current targeted search results for your store.

Procedure

  1. Open the Catalogs tool.
  2. From the explorer tree, select Search Term Associations.
  3. Delete your search term associations.
    • To delete synonyms:
      1. Click the Synonyms tab. The synonym list is displayed.
      2. Click the synonyms row that you want to delete.
      3. Click DeleteDelete to delete the synonyms row.
    • To delete replacement terms:
      1. Click the Replacements tab. The replacements list is displayed.
      2. Click the replacements row that you want to delete.
      3. Click DeleteDelete to delete the replacements row.
  4. Click Save; then click Close.
