Responding to RFQ product requests
You can work with price adjustments for products based on a percentage markdown, or a fixed (specific) change in the price.
Procedure
- Open WebSphere Commerce Accelerator
-
Initiate the RFQ response creation process and from the
Percentage Pricing on Products or Fixed Pricing on
Products page, select the check box for the product you are working with. Click
Specifications.
The RFQ Product Specifications Response page is displays the list of all the specifications and values that were specified by the buyer.
- Click OK to return to the Percentage Pricing on Products or Fixed Pricing on Products page.
-
With the check box still selected, click Respond or
Change.
The Respond to Percentage Pricing on Product or the Respond to Fixed Pricing on Product page is displayed.
-
Depending on the type of product information you want to respond to, perform one of the
following actions:
- To counter-offer the product price based on a percentage markdown, enter the percentage in the Price adjustment field in the Respond to Percentage Pricing on Product page. This value must be a number; for instance, "10" indicates a 10% markdown on the original price of the product.
- To counter-offer the product price, quantity, or unit of quantity, on the Respond to
Fixed Pricing on Product page, perform the following actions under the
Response section of the page:
- To indicate the quantity of the product that you can supply to the buyer, type it in the Quantity field. This value must be a number; for instance, "10". You might want to change the quantity if you are unable to provide the quantity that is requested for a product.
- To indicate the units you use for the product, select it from the Units list. For instance, if you want to specify the quantity in terms of a unit other than what was specified by the buyer, select the units from this list.
- To counter-offer the product price that you are willing to sell the product, based on a fixed amount, type the price in the Price field.
- Click OK to save the changes and return to the Percentage Pricing on Products or Fixed Pricing on Products page.
- Optional:
Substitute a product in an RFQ response.
For example, a buyer might request 25 units of a particular computer, and you have only 20 in stock. You might want to suggest the buyer purchase a similar computer.
