Optimizing the MVCPortlet application
The typical rendering configuration of WebSphere Portal server is to render portlets on a page sequentially. That is, some portlets can delay output from other portlets to the client browser. Depending on your business needs of the portal site, it might be better to enable your portal server to allow parallel rendering, where portlets capable of performing parallel rendering can take advantage of this feature.
It is possible to configure your WebSphere Portal server to render the WebSphere Commerce portlets in a parallel fashion in order to optimize the response time of your portal site. For more information, see Parallel portlet rendering.
