Managing duplicate external sites
In BigFix the relationship between Sites and URL should be managed into a one to one correspondance.
If a URL is, by accident, associated to multiple sites, then the License Overview Dashboard warns you about the anomaly, presenting an error message. As of BigFix 11, the License Overview Dashboard handles the inconvenience and provides with an additional help to identify what the duplicated sites are, via a new tab named Duplicate Sites.
The new tab lists all the sites overlaps, allowing an easier troubleshooting.
A section dedicated to each affected URL groups all the duplicated sites, reporting the site name, site version and site ID.
When a site duplication occurs, the License Overview Dashboards presents two warnings. The first one on the top of the page, provides with an alternative way to land to the Duplicate Sites tab by clicking onto the "MORE" button.
The second warning links to the HCL Software Customer Support, where the Error in SiteData constructor : Error : Singular expression refers to non-unique object article describes how to remediate the Singular expression refers to non-unique object error.
