This guide is for regular users of the BigFix UI.
Administration
The Administration section helps you manage users and access control in BigFix UI.
Application Configuration
The Application Configuration page is a central administrative hub for the modular applications and integrations that BigFix UI hosts. It lists each application as a card and shows whether the application is configured, so that you can open the configuration page that the application team owns.
Global DEX settings
The Global DEX settings page shows the custom global DEX settings that apply to your entire environment. Use it to review the settings that control how DEX collects and scores data on your devices.

- Introduction
  BigFix UI is a unified interface that consolidates multiple BigFix capabilities into one modern application. It provides IT operations and security teams with a centralized workspace to manage endpoints, remediate vulnerabilities, and generate reports.
- Getting Started
  The Getting Started section introduces key features that help users begin working with the BigFix UI. It provides a foundation for understanding how to access the system securely, navigate common features, and apply guided recommendations to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Using BigFix UI
  This guide is for regular users of the BigFix UI.
  - Home
    The customizable dashboard is the home page of the BigFix UI. It shows the applications and reports that you use most as a grid of widgets that you can add, remove, and reorder to match your workflow.
  - Explore
    The Explore section provides a centralized view of core BigFix resources. It helps administrators and operators quickly access devices, fixlets, deployments, sites, and analyses for monitoring and action.
  - Resolve
    The Resolve section provides tools to act on issues and apply remediations across your environment.
  - Reporting
    The Reporting section provides tools to create, view, and manage reports for analysis and decision-making.

      - IVR settings
        The Integrated Vulnerability Management card in Application Configuration connects BigFix UI to BigFix Insights for Vulnerability Remediation (IVR). Use it to run the initial setup, to review the saved server, application, and database settings, and to manage the scanner datasources that IVR imports vulnerability data from.
    - Identity management
      The Identity management app in BigFix UI is the central place to manage global settings for all applications running within BigFix UI. From here, administrators manage users, roles, account policies, and identity provider configuration.
    - System configuration
      Use System configuration to manage the global settings that every application in BigFix UI shares. In this release, System configuration contains the SMTP settings that BigFix UI uses to send email.

Global DEX settings

The Global DEX settings page shows the custom global DEX settings that apply to your entire environment. Use it to review the settings that control how DEX collects and scores data on your devices.

The Dex dashboard card on the Application Configuration page opens the Global DEX settings page. The card appears in the Configured section when DEX is set up in your deployment.

Note: The settings on this page are read-only. To change them, run the Update Global Profile Settings Fixlet of the DEX site from the BigFix Console.
