MCP Client Enhancements

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) Client tool has been enhanced to provide agent creators with greater control over tool availability.

Agent creators can now select a specific subset of tools exposed by an MCP server and make only those tools available to a particular agent. This granular control helps ensure that agents operate within an intentional and well‑defined scope.

This enhancement delivers several key benefits:

  • Security: Agents are restricted from accessing tools or systems that are not relevant to their purpose, reducing the risk of unintended data access or data leakage.
  • Performance: Limiting the available tool set reduces unnecessary processing overhead and improves response efficiency.
  • Reliability: Agents operate within clearly defined boundaries, minimizing unexpected behavior and improving consistency during execution.
