Using the UI

The UI is the HCL Universal Orchestrator interface, from which you can design your scheduling environment and monitor every process.

Graphical Designer

This page is the right place to start designing your environment and define the automation of your business processes. When you open the Graphical Designer and create a new workspace from the My workspaces page, a wide, empty canvas is displayed. You can populate the workspace in the canvas by dragging items from the palette on the left, which is divided in two tabs: Blocks and Assets.

By using the Graphical Designer, you have full control over your orchestration: you can create workflows, add new tasks, create internal or external dependencies and also add join conditions and triggers to your workflows. You can save items in the database, edit definitions, reuse existing items and perform any operation useful to make your orchestration as smooth as possible. Moreover, if you need help during the definition of a complex scenario, the UnO AI Pilot is always ready to convert your descriptions into an effective workflow.

When your design sessions is finished, click the Deploy button to save your workspace in the database. If you do not deploy the workspace before closing the page, when you log back to the UI you can find the workspace and all the definitions within as you left them before closing the page. Items defined within the workspace are not saved in the database until you deploy the workspace.

Dashboards

This page provides a high-level, visual overview of your orchestration environment. Through a collection of customizable widgets, you can monitor the health and progress of your workload in real time. Dashboards enable you to track key performance indicators, such as task processing delays, workstation limits, and current task statuses. You can create personalized dashboards in your private workspace or access shared dashboards to collaborate with your team. By visualizing trends and system peaks, you can quickly identify bottlenecks and optimize your scheduling environment.

Orchestration Monitor

This page is dedicated to the monitoring of your workflows. You can search for every item and control the dependencies between them with a powerful query system. You can save your custom queries and reuse them whenever you need to. You can also monitor your workflows by folder with the Tree view system.
