Using a Windows™ user ID and password to log on to the SafeLinx Server
Rather than using a separate SafeLinx Client logon, you can use your Windows user ID and password credentials to log on to the SafeLinx Server. To use integrated logon, you must install the custom program component that supports it. This custom program component is available for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
Before you begin
Procedure
After the custom program component is installed, enable it to use your Windows user ID and
password to log on to the SafeLinx Server:
- Create a connection. For instructions, see Creating a SafeLinx Client connection.
- Right-click the icon that represents that connection, and select Properties.
- Click the Attributes page, and then click Use Windows user ID and password.
- Click OK.
Note: The two options Use Windows user ID and password and Prompt
for user ID and password are mutually exclusive; if you select one of them, the other
one is cleared automatically.
