Backup tab
Complete the following fields in the Backup tab. When you are done, you can click Test Formula to preview the backup path.
Field | Description |

Backup DB command | Choose File if you are doing a simple file system or network drive backup. Choose other options to perform backups with a third-party backup application. |
Backup translog command | Choose File if you are doing a simple file system or network drive backup. Choose other options to perform backups with a third-party backup application. |
Pre-backup command | Choose File if you are doing a simple file system or network drive backup. Choose other options to perform backups with a third-party backup application. |
Post-backup command | Choose File if you are doing a simple file system or network drive backup. Choose other options to perform backups with a third-party backup application. |
Backup disable direct apply | By default, when a database file can be accessed after the backup operation, any data that changed during the backup (delta data) is automatically applied and no separate delta file is written. The database is in a consistent state and needs no recovery. To disable the default behavior and create delta files in this case, disable this option. |
Backup log file | Select an option to control logging:

Backup OK string | When formulas, agents, or command scripts are used, defines a string that when not found in the output indicates the operation failed. Can be used in conjunction with Backup error string. |
Backup error string | When formulas, agents, or command scripts are used, defines an error string that when found in the output indicates the operation failed. |
