The continued statement must have a space in column 3 when
continuing a parameter or comment field.
The BCL processor has encountered a continued statement
that does not contain a space in column 3. If column 3 contains anything
but a blank or an asterisk, the BCL processor assumes that the following
statement is a new statement and the continuation is in error.
Processing of the BCL statements stops.
To code a continued BCL statement, code // in columns
1 and 2 of the continuing line and a blank character in column 3.
See BCL statement continuation for full
instructions for continuing BCL statements.
