Creating new message type
Use the Commerce Lab Tools to create new message type.
Procedure
- Open Commerce Lab Tools, and from the left navigation menu, select .
- Click New. The New message type page opens.
- From the Message Type list, select the appropriate type from the list of Outbound messages. You can search for the message from the Search field, by entering the message type of message.

E-mail messages - BroadcastMessage- Sends broadcast announcements using a JSP template.
- ActivateTaskNotification- Activate Task Notification.
- Invoice- Sends invoice details to the buyer contact.
- ErrorMessage- Notifies administrators of error conditions in Commerce+.
- InterestItemListMessage- Sends a wishlist or interest item list.

Specify the Minimun Severity and Maximum
Severity.
Note: Minimum Severity has to be specified as 0.
- In the Transport list, all the transport modes in active status will be shown with description. Select the required transport mode from the available list. You can also search for transport from the Search field, by entering the transport mode.

From the Device Format list, select the required format, however
Standard Device Format is recommended.
Note: To archive sent messages, check Archive message.
- Click Next to configure the message type.

The Message Type configuration field is displayed. Note that this
field is OPTIONAL. Some information will be displayed from the transport selected for this
message type.
Option Description Client ID Enter the ID of your Client. Client Secret Enter any secret of the Client for security purpose. Refresh Token Enter the token information. Transact XML URL This URL will be pulled from the transport chosen. You can still change this URL. OAuth URL This URL will be pulled from the transport chosen. You can still change this URL. Campaign ID Enter the campaign ID. Recipient Enter the Recipient information. Subject Enter the subject for the Message type - Click Finish to save the new message type created. New message type will be shown on the landing page.
