The topics in this section focus on tasks that are performed by business users, marketers, and customer support representatives to connect with partners and attract and satisfy customers.
Business Tools
Commerce+ allows you to manage various business tools such as Promotions, Catalog, Promotions, Inventory, and so on. Users accessing at least one business tool can see the Business Tools menu. The user can see tools that are accessible to the current user.
Store Management
Store management tool allows you to manage stores, taxes, shipping, and installments through the Commerce Lab.
Page Composer tool
The Page Composer tool lets business users manage store pages. The Page Composer tool is available only on Auth environment and specifically for use with React stores. This tool allows users to create store pages and assign SEO URLs to them.
Pages
The Page Composer tool within a Commerce Lab works specifically for Next.js store. It enables you to create new pages for the Ruby and RubyB2B stores. It also allows you to Edit, Delete, or update SEO information for an existing page.
Creating a new page
The Commerce Lab enables you to create a new page through the Page Composer tool. If you have chosen to work on a task in the Workspace Management tool, the workspace context associated with the task will be used to create new Content Pages in the Page Composer tool. The new pages will only be available in the workspace until the associated task group is approved and the pages are committed to the approved content.
Preview Store Pages
Upon completing page creation from the Page Composer tool of the Commerce Lab, you can click the Preview button to preview the Store page. This document describes all the information that can be viewed on the Store Preview page.

  This section provides details on deploying HCL Commerce+. It explains how to download the Docker images and Git bundles that comprise the product, how to create a minimal environment, and how to plan for a full deployment. It details supported software versions, patches, and configurations to ensure the platform performs well.
- Migrating
  The following topics show how to migrate an existing HCL Commerce Version 9.1 environment to Commerce+. The process consists of an initial migration of your database contents. This is followed by a code migration. Both are fully described.

  - Commerce Lab
    Accessible through a web-based interface, Commerce Lab enables users to manage all key aspects of their commerce operations, including catalogs, marketing, pricing, users, stores, customers, workspaces, sellers, and administrative functions—empowering teams with greater flexibility and control.
  - Business Tools
    Commerce+ allows you to manage various business tools such as Promotions, Catalog, Promotions, Inventory, and so on. Users accessing at least one business tool can see the Business Tools menu. The user can see tools that are accessible to the current user.
    - Search Tool
      The Search tool is accessible from the Commerce Lab. It enables several functionalities related to search, such as Search Term Associations, Search Analytics, Search Templates, and so on. It allows the admin to preview the search terms displayed on the storefront and delivers customized search results when customers search the storefront. Search analytics helps customers to understand the patterns and items users are searching.
    - Catalog Filter and Pricing tool
      Use the Catalog Filter and Pricing tool in Commerce Lab to create and manage catalog filters, price lists, and price rules. Sellers, Sales Managers, and Account Representatives can use the tool's flexible features to implement catalog filtering and pricing strategies that meet the site's business needs over time.
    - Catalogs tool overview
      Use the Catalogs tool in the Commerce Lab to manage catalogs, categories, catalog entries, merchandising associations, product attributes, and attachments in your store. The Catalogs tool lets business users create, and manage online catalogs. Catalogs provide a way of organizing the products that you want to sell. You define catalog data in groups of categories and products. Catalog data contains descriptions and pricing information for products and services.
    - Marketing Tool
      Use the Marketing tool in the Commerce Lab to create and manage marketing campaigns and other store content, excluding catalog content. You can use the extensive precision marketing features in the tool to deliver targeted marketing messages to customers.
    - Inventory tool
      Commerce+ offers various Packaged Business Capabilities (PBCs). This section explains the Commerce Lab tooling support for the Inventory.
    - Promotions Tool
      Use the Promotions tool in Commerce Lab to create and manage promotions that support the marketing campaigns for your site.

      Customer Management tools are used to manage business accounts and catalogs for Commerce Lab.

      - Page Composer tool
        The Page Composer tool lets business users manage store pages. The Page Composer tool is available only on Auth environment and specifically for use with React stores. This tool allows users to create store pages and assign SEO URLs to them.
        Storefront Asset Store support for the Page Composer tool
        Commerce Lab supports the Storefront Asset Store (SAS) in the Page Composer tool.
        Pages
        The Page Composer tool within a Commerce Lab works specifically for Next.js store. It enables you to create new pages for the Ruby and RubyB2B stores. It also allows you to Edit, Delete, or update SEO information for an existing page.

        Viewing information about pages and layouts in store preview
        When you are previewing a page, you can open the Page and Layout Information window to find out whether the page is using an assigned layout or the default layout. The window also provides details about how layout assignments were evaluated. This window is useful for troubleshooting layout assignments.
        Viewing information about widgets in store preview
        While viewing a layout in store preview, you can open the Widget Information window to get information about a specific widget that is used in the layout. For example, you can view the widget name, type, slot position, and property settings, and get details about the widget content. This window is useful for troubleshooting widgets if they do not display the expected information.
        Editing a page
        The Commerce Lab allows you to edit a page's information through the Page Composer tool. If you have chosen to work on a task in the Workspace Management tool, the workspace context associated with the task will be used to save edits to Content Pages in Page Composer. The edits will only be available in the workspace until the associated task group is approved and the edits are committed to the approved content.
        Searching a page
        The Commerce Lab's Page Composer tool enables a you to search any page created for the selected store.
        Deleting a page
        The Commerce Lab's Page Composer tool allows users to delete any page. If you have chosen to work on a task in the Workspace Management tool, the workspace context associated with the task will be used to delete Content Pages in Page Composer. The deleted page will remain in base content until the associated task group is approved and the delete is committed to approved content.
        Viewing page SEOs
        If you have chosen a task to work on in the Workspace Management tool, the workspace context associated with the task will be used to view the page SEOs. Changes to the page SEOs that were made in the context of the workspace will be visible.
        Creating page SEO
        If you have chosen a task to work on in the Workspace Management tool, the workspace context associated with the task will be used to add page SEOs. The new page SEOs will only be available in the workspace until the task group is approved and the new page SEOs are committed to the approved content.
        Editing page SEOs
        If you have chosen to work on a task in the Workspace Management tool, the workspace context associated with the task will be used to edit page SEOs. The edits will only be available in the workspace until the associated task group is approved and the edits are committed to the approved content.
        Deleting page SEOs
        If you have chosen to work on a task in the Workspace Management tool, the workspace context associated with the task will be used to delete page SEOs.
        Assigning a layout to a page
        The Commerce Lab enables you to assign a layout to a page through the Page Composer tool.
        Layouts
        Upon completion of page creation from Page Composer tool of Commerce Lab, you can assign these pages to different layouts. You can also change the layout templates assigned to the store and preview the changes on the storefront.
        Layout assignments for search terms
        You might want to customize the layout of the search results page for a specific search term. If so, you can create a layout and assign it directly to the search term. When a customer uses the search term to search your site, the search results page is rendered with your assigned layout instead of the default layout for the search results page.
        Workspace
        Page Composer supports managing pages and layouts in the context of a workspace. Workspace Task Group Approvers can review the change history of changes made to pages and layouts, and undo those changes before approving the task group.
        Widgets for Page Composer
        A widget is an area of a store-related page that displays a specific type of store content, such as ads, product recommendations, or navigational links. You can choose how to display widgets within a layout representing a store page. To create a layout, you have to add widgets in slots in a layout template, and then set the properties and content for each widget.
      - Extended Sites Store Management
        You can create store quickly and easily from Commerce Lab Tools. The wizard asks a customer to provide some basic data about their store (name, description, and so on), allows the customer to select the storefront or catalog they want to use, and then creates the store. The resulting store has some unique data, but uses the storefront and catalog data from existing asset stores.
      - Store Management tool
        As a Seller, Site Administrator, or Channel Manager, you can use the Store Management tool in Commerce Lab to manage your stores. The Store Management tool in Commerce Lab replaces all of the store management features in Commerce+ Accelerator, except store creation and the ability to suspend and resume stores. Use the Store Creation wizard in Commerce Lab to create new stores.
      - Managing shipping
        You can set up shipping at a store-level by using Commerce Lab.
      - Managing taxes
        You can set up taxes at a store-level by using the Commerce Lab.
      - Installments tool
        Use the Installments tool in Commerce Lab to create and manage installment rules that support the payment methods for your site. Note that the Installments tool is available only in the Auth environment.
    - Workspace Management tool
      The Workspace Management tool is a graphical user interface tool that is used to manage workspaces and workspace-related activities. It provides a single view across all workspaces and all tasks in the workspaces where managers can see how work is progressing.
  - Analytics Tool
    Commerce Lab has the Analytics tool listed in the hamburger menu.
- Administering
  The site administrator performs the tasks needed to support day to day operations of the Commerce+ site.
- Extending
  Using Commerce+'s xC programming model, you can use HCL-provided extension points to extend existing Commerce logic. You can implement these extensions with the xC Customization toolkit provided by HCL. Commerce+ also provides Packaged Business Capability integrations that extend the product's reach and functionality.

  These topics describe the security features of Commerce+ and how to configure these features.
- Performance
  Topics in the Performance section describe the means by which to plan, implement, test, and re-visit the optimization of Commerce+ site performance.

Preview Store Pages

Upon completing page creation from the Page Composer tool of the Commerce Lab, you can click the Preview button to preview the Store page. This document describes all the information that can be viewed on the Store Preview page.

If you have selected to work on a task in the Workspace Management tool, the workspace context associated with the task will be used to preview pages. Changes to the page made in the workspace context will be visible on the previewed page.

Note: Unless you have selected a task, you cannot preview any page.

Important: You can preview the Storefront Asset Store pages by clicking on the Preview button while viewing the page. Before launching the preview, select an e-site. A new e-site selection dialog will appear. Select the e-site from the drop-down menu.

Note: Commerce+ Commerce Lab allows the user to view the store information related to pages, layouts, and widgets assigned to the store.

Store Preview

Preview settings

Preview Settings window pops up on the screen.
Choose Store for preview, and the Store URL is auto-filled for the selected store.
Enable the toggle button for Advance Settings.
- Provide the Preview date.
- Provide the Preview time.
- You can enable the button to view the Time elapse when the preview mode is on.
- Select the product recommendation as required.
- After providing the advanced settings, click the Launch Store Preview button to preview the store.
Note: The Preview Store button is available only for the Auth environment.

The store preview page opens in a new window.

In the Preview time column, you will be shown the date and time when the store was previewed last.
You can select any view from the available list in the Select viewport.
By selecting any of these icons, you can view the screen vertically or horizontally.
Click on Share URL, and the URL gets copied, and that can be shared just by pasting it.
Click on Preview Settings, and a preview settings dialog box pop-up, as shown below:
Select customer segments to change the customer segments and click Apply Settings. The updated setting is applied for store preview.

Show Page Information

See Pages and Layout information to view the information related to the pages and layouts assigned to the selected store.
