Configuring a store for the Inventory
Perform the following steps after creating a store in an Inventory environment. The store's default inventory location is created in the PBC.
Procedure
- If you accept the default name for your new store, its inventory location will also be given that name. For example, if IL003 is the default store name, then it will also be the inventory location name. If you change the store name, record that name now, as you will have to give the inventory location the same name.
- Open Commerce Lab Tools, and from the left navigation menu, select .
- From the Inventory Dashboard page, click View all Inventory Locations.
- On the Inventory Locations page, click Create Inventory Location to create a new Inventory Location.
- If you changed the store name, change the inventory location name to match the name you noted in Step 1.
-
Record the Inventory Location (IL) code. For example: IL003. You will use this
as your
INVENTORYLOCATION_ID. - Review and activate the new inventory location.
-
Create a .CSV file and upload your inventory data to the
newly created inventory location. Use the following fields in the file. For
definitions and content requirements of the columns, see Inventory levels data file (inventory.csv).
