HCL Commerce is a high-availability, highly scalable and customizable e-commerce platform. Able to support hundreds of thousands of transactions per day, HCL Commerce allows you to do business with consumers (B2C) or directly with businesses (B2B). HCL Commerce uses cloud friendly technology to make deployment and operation both easy and efficient. It provides easy-to-use tools for business users to centrally manage a cross-channel strategy. Business users can create and manage precision marketing campaigns, promotions, catalog, and merchandising across all sales channels. Business users can also use AI enabled content management capabilities.

Management Center for HCL Commerce
The Management Center for HCL Commerce, is a suite of tools to support store management, merchandising, and marketing tasks for business users (Sellers, Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Catalog Managers, and others).
Marketing tool
Use the Marketing tool in Management Center to create and manage marketing campaigns and other store content, excluding catalog content. You can use the extensive precision marketing features in the tool to deliver targeted marketing messages to customers.
Email templates
Email templates define the structure and content of marketing emails that you send to customers using an email or dialog activity.

Delete
Deleting your email activity templates removes incorrect or obsolete templates from the Management Center.

        Create
        You can use the email template editor in the Marketing tool to insert placeholders for e-Marketing Spots, links, promotion codes, and customer names. You can also use the template editor to format text.
        Change
        You can change the content of an email template, such as correcting errors or adding images.

Deleting email templates

Deleting your email activity templates removes incorrect or obsolete templates from the Management Center.

Before you begin

Note: From HCL Commerce version 9.1.19 onwards, if you use the new version of the Management Center, see temailtemplateactivities.html.

HCL Commerce Enterprise If you are using extended sites, and logged in to an extended site, you can delete e-mail templates if the e-mail template belongs to the extended site store. If the e-mail template belongs to the asset store, you can only delete the e-mail template if your user ID has access to the asset store.

Procedure

Open the Marketing tool.
From the explorer view, click E-mail Templates.
The E-mail Templates - List page opens.
Right-click the template that you want to delete; then click Delete.

Results

The email template will be removed from the email template list.

Note: You cannot delete an email template that is associated with an active, but unsent email activity.
