IVR4 Fixlets

About this task

To do IVR v.4.0.0 setup through the Fixlet, follow the below steps:

Note: To use the latest release build, uninstall the old version. Please refer to the task "Uninstall BigFix Insights for Vulnerability Remediation" of the BigFix Insights for Vulnerability Remediation site to remove the properties of the previous version.

Procedure

  1. Enable the content site

    Navigate to the BigFix License Overview Dashboard. In the Compliance/Lifecycle panel, click Enable BigFix Insights for Vulnerability Remediation Site to gather the required content.

  2. Subscribe computers to the site. It is recommended to subscribe to All computers.
    Note: Analysis should be activated for IVR2 installation only. It does not belong to the IVR4 installation.

  3. Download the BESRetriever to the target folder.

    1. Click Download BigFix IVR Retriever v4.0 Fixlet in the BigFix Insights for Vulnerability Remediation external site.
    2. Click on Take Action and select the required option.

      Note: Default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\BigFix Enterprise\BESIvrRetriever.
    3. To download BigFix IVR Retriever service to any other path than default location, choose the second option. The pop-up window will come up to enter the path as shown below:

    4. Select target devices under Target tab and click OK.

    5. Wait for the completion of Fixlet.

    6. As per option chosen, navigate to the path and check for BESIvrRetriever folder (of the machine that the action has been taken) being created on completed status of the Download BigFix IVR Retriever v4.0 Fixlet.

    7. Once the download of BigFix IVR Retriever v4.0 Fixlet is completed, Uninstall BigFix IVR Retriever v4.0 and WARNING: BigFix IVR Retriever v4.0 has an incomplete configuration fixlets will get Active.

    8. Go to the WARNING: BigFix IVR Retriever v4.0 has an incomplete configuration Fixlet and click on Take Action.

      Fixlet can be used to launch the guide documentation which will provide more information.

    9. Note: Uninstall BigFix IVR Retriever v4.0 Fixlet can be used to uninstall the complete IVRv4 Setup.
      Go to the fixlet Uninstall BigFix IVR Retriever v4.0 and click on Take Action, the pop-up window will appear as shown below:

      Enter YES and click Ok. Wait until execution is in Completed Status.
    10. BESIvrRetriever Folder should be deleted from the path given at the time of Download BigFix IVR Retriever v4.0 Fixlet.
    11. Service BES IVR Retriever should be removed from Services App.
