Custom application fields
Custom application fields provide greater flexibility in how you categorize, filter, and analyze application data. Whether you manage risk, track security progress, or organize large inventories, custom fields provide a more granular and tailored view to support your workflows and decision-making. At the organization level, use custom application fields to add more details to applications by creating and editing the application information.You can add custom fields to new and existing applications.
Creating custom application fields
You can add up to five custom application fields at the organization level and use them while creating or editing new or existing applications.
Procedure
- Go to .
- Under the Custom application fields section, click + Create.
- Enter a unique name for the custom application field.

From the Field type drop-down, select the type:
- Free text
- Date
- Optionally, you can add a help text that is displayed next to the custom field while you create or edit an application. This help text gives a hint to the user about entering the appropriate value.

Click Create.
The custom application field is added and displayed when you create or edit an application.
- To modify the custom application field, click the Edit icon, make the changes and then click Save.

To delete a custom application field, click the Delete icon,
and then click Delete again to confirm.
Note: If you delete a custom application field, ASoC removes it from all existing applications. It won't be available for any new applications you create, either.
