Getting started with HCL Universal Orchestrator
HCL Universal Orchestrator is a cloud-native workload orchestration and scheduling platform built on Kubernetes. Its microservices-based architecture enables the centralized orchestration of multi-cloud and hybrid environments from a single point of control.

v2.1.5+ Finding items on the canvas using the Explorer tab

In the Explorer tab of the palette, you can search for and select any workflow or AI agent currently placed on the canvas.

Before you begin

To search for items using the Explorer tab, you must have a workspace open in the UI with at least one workflow or AI agent placed on the canvas.

About this task

The Explorer tab displays all workflows and AI agents currently placed on the canvas in a hierarchical tree structure. Use this tab to locate a specific item in a complex workspace without manually scrolling through the canvas.

The Explorer tab in the palette is distinct from the tree view in the Orchestration Monitor, which organizes plan items by folder for monitoring purposes.

Procedure

In the UI, open a workspace that contains items on the canvas.
The canvas opens with the palette displayed on the left side.
In the palette, click Explorer.
The Explorer tab opens, displaying all workflows and AI agents currently placed on the canvas.
In the search field, type the name of the item you want to locate.
The tree filters to show only matching items, with their names highlighted.
Click the item in the tree.
The item is selected on the canvas.

Results

The selected item is highlighted on the canvas, ready for editing or configuration in the properties panel.
