Deploying and Administrating

Deploy, connect, and administer HCL Universal Orchestrator on your own infrastructure, or start immediately with a hosted SaaS environment where the service provider manages all platform operations.

The topics in this section cover the full lifecycle of an on-premises deployment: installation, agent connection, security administration, and observability.

Deploy the server
Install HCL Universal Orchestrator on your Kubernetes cluster, configure Kafka topics, and validate file integrity using SHA checksums.
Connect agents and CLI
Install and configure HCL UnO agent instances and the Orchestration CLI to connect your workload targets to the orchestration engine.
Administer security and users
Manage access control lists, security roles, API Keys, and user registries to control who can view and act on your workload. In multitenant environments, configure tenant lifecycle and access boundaries.
Observe your deployment
Expose Prometheus metrics, monitor system logs, and integrate with observability tools to track the health of your infrastructure.
SaaSHCL Universal Orchestrator as a service

HCL Universal Orchestrator is also available as a hosted SaaS offering. If you use the SaaS version, all deployment, infrastructure management, and platform updates are handled by the service provider.
