Managing settings
You can manage user, system and security settings from the UI.
The Settings page is your central hub to customize the UI and the system and security settings according to your needs.
- Personal
- From the Personal section, you can view account information, customize UI preferences, and manage your own API Keys. For more information, see Personal settings.
- System
- From the System section, you can manage auditing preferences, customize workload and planning settings, and define GenAI options.
- Security
- From the Security section, you can manage security roles, access control lists and API Keys.
- v2.1.5+Licensing
- From the Licensing tab, you can view the current license status for your installation. For more information, see Licensing.
Personal settings
- Account
- View your personal information, such as your Name and User ID, and group memberships.
- Preferences
-
Customize UI settings, such as the time zone and its display options, font and size, and the theme.
v2.1.5+The time format of the UI can be set to 12-hour or 24-hour. For more information, see Setting the time format preference. You can also set the number of rows per page displayed in tables. The available values are 12, 25, 50, 100, and 250; when no preference is set, tables display 12 rows per page by default. This preference applies to the Roles, Access control list, API Keys, and Orchestration Monitor tables.
- API keys
- Manage your API keys.
System settings
- Auditing
- Configure auditing preferences for your environment. Enable the
Justification option to require users to
provide a reason when they change items, such as a ticket number, a
description, or a justification category. By default, auditing data is
stored for 400 days before it is removed, but you can customize the
Retention days value.
For more information, see Keeping track of changes in your environment.
- Workload orchestration
- Manage orchestration preferences. You can set the maximum number of
nested workflows, and customize the following human tasks
settings:
- The undo time limit for an action.
- The two email templates that users receive upon task creation or assignment.
- Planning
- Manage the performance and data lifecycle of your plan. You can configure the active window for the processing of workflow instances, define how far in advance to prepare future workflows, and set the retention policies for completed and failed tasks.
- GenAI
- Manage the behavior of the UnO AI Pilot. You can set limits on its conversational memory and define the
maximum number of actions it can perform, both with and without user
intervention.Restriction: These settings are not available in HCL Universal Orchestrator SaaS environments.
- Tenant
- Use the Tenant subsection to manage tenancy
preferences, such as the tenant name, display name, and the domain of
the allowed users. You can also view and copy the tenant removal
token.Warning: Editing the tenant name changes the hostname prefix. This process unlinks any installed agents (excluding cloud agents) because their configuration files are not automatically updated, making the
agentmanagerunreachable. If you edit the tenant name, you must manually align the agent configurations (such as the agent.properties file for on-premises agents or the deployment set for Kubernetes) so they can link again to the correct environment.Restriction: These properties are available only in multitenant deployments.
Security settings
- Roles
- Manage security roles. You can filter and sort the table of existing roles using the column headers.
- Access control list
- Manage Access control lists (ACLs). You can filter and sort the table of existing ACLs using the column headers.
- API Keys
- Add new API keys or manage the existing ones. You can filter and sort the table of existing API Keys using the column headers.
v2.1.5+ Licensing
The Licensing tab is read-only. The fields shown depend on the license type active for your deployment. For the complete field reference, see Licensing tab reference.
