Getting started with HCL Universal Orchestrator
HCL Universal Orchestrator is a cloud-native workload orchestration and scheduling platform built on Kubernetes. Its microservices-based architecture enables the centralized orchestration of multi-cloud and hybrid environments from a single point of control.

v2.1.7+Configuring the notification banner

Use the notification banner to announce maintenance, upgrades, and other important events to users of your HCL Universal Orchestrator instance.

About this task

The notification banner announces maintenance windows, upgrades, and other system-wide events to users directly in the UI. In a multitenant deployment, this banner applies only to your tenant. If the service provider administrator has also enabled a Tenant Manager banner, that banner is displayed before yours.

Procedure

Navigate to Settings > Security > Notification banner.
Set the Banner enabled toggle to display the banner.
Disabling the toggle hides the banner from users and retains the drafted Summary and Details content in the form.
In the Summary field, type the headline text to display on the Welcome page.
In the Details field, type the expanded announcement text.

Use the Plain text/HTML - Markdown toggle to set the format of the Details field. This toggle does not affect the Summary field.
Click Update banner to save your changes, including the Banner enabled toggle.

Results

The Summary text appears on the Welcome page for every affected user. Clicking the notification icon in the header opens the full Details content, rendered as Markdown or plain text according to the selected mode.
