Using the Progressive Web App (PWA)

The ZIEWEB Client supports a Progressive Web App (PWA) to provide an app-like experience using modern web technologies.

Follow these steps to install and use the ZIEWEB Client as a Progressive Web App (PWA):
  1. Open a supported web browser on your device.
  2. Launch the ZIEWEB Client page.
  3. If supported by your browser and device, the Install or Open in App option appears in the browser.
  4. Select Install (or Open in App) to add the PWA to your home screen or desktop.
  5. After installation, open the app from the home screen or desktop.
  6. The PWA opens in a standalone window, similar to a native application.
  7. When the PWA starts, it automatically opens the last page you accessed.
  8. In the PWA header, locate the URL input/dropdown field.
  9. Enter the name of the page you want to open and press Enter.
  10. The page opens directly within the PWA.
  11. The entered page name is saved and displayed in the dropdown list for easy access later.
  12. Use the dropdown to quickly reopen previously accessed pages.
    • This field supports HTML, Combined, and Config pages.
    Note: Installation and access behavior are controlled by the browser and device, not by the ZIEWEB Client application.
