Installing the Z and I Emulator for Web Deployment Wizard - Console Mode

This section describes the procedure to install the HCL Z and I Emulator for Web using console mode.

Execute the following steps to install the Z and I Emulator for Web:

  1. Open the Command Prompt.
  2. Type Builds>ZIE for Web_Windows_x64.exe -i console in the Command Line to configure the console mode.

  3. The Choose Locale screen appears.
  4. Type the required locale number in the CHOOSE LOCALE BY NUMBER field and press Enter.

  5. The Introduction screen appears.
  6. Read the instructions carefully, and press Enter to continue.

  7. The License Agreement screen appears.
  8. Read the license agreement carefully and type "Y" to accept the conditions.
  9. Press Enter to continue.

    Note: For HCL Z and I Emualtor for Web multiple instance or upgrade, refer to Muliple Instance or Upgrade Installation.
  10. The Multi Instance screen appears.
  11. Type the required instance number in the Select the Instance to proceed installation field and press Enter.
    Note: The Multiple Instance panel appears when an earlier version of InstallAnywhere Z and I Emulator for Web is installed.
  12. The Tanslations screen appears.
  13. Type the required language pack number and press Enter.

    Note:
    • The de-selected language pack(s) will be removed.
    • To remove multiple language packs, enter the numbers separated by comma(,).
  14. The Select Install Folder screen appears.
  15. Type the required folder and press Enter to continue.

  16. The Publish Information screen appears.
  17. Type the required information in fields and press Enter.

  18. The Web Server Configuration screen appears.
  19. Select the required configuration option and enter the required information.
  20. Press Enter to continue.
    Note: If no web server is selected, the ZIE for Web Client and License Manager will not be configured.
  21. The Application Server Configuration screen appears.
  22. Type "Y" to configure the WebSphere Application Server.
  23. Enter the required information in the following field and press Enter:
    • Select the WebSphere Application Server from the list
    • Profie(s)
    • Server(s)


  24. The Validating HCL Z and I Emulator for Web 16.0.0 screen appears.
  25. Press Enter to continue.


  26. The Application Server Configuration is configured based on the selected application server.


  27. The ZIE for Web Client Configuration screen appears.
  28. Select the Yes option under Z and I Emulator for Web Client Configuration, if you want to install ZIE for Web Client during ZIE for Web installation.
    Note:
    • f the Embedded Web Server option is not selected in the Web Server Panel, the Embedded Server will not be displayed on the ZIE for Web Client panel.
    • If the Embedded Web Server option is not selected in the Web Server Panel, the Config Server Port, Application Server Port, and Application Server Secure Port fields will be displayed on the ZIE for Web Client panel.
    • If the Embedded Web Server option is selected in the Web Server Panel but not selected in the ZIE for Web Client, the Application Server Port and Application Server Secure Port fields will be displayed on the ZIE for Web Client panel.


  29. Select the required configuration details, and press Enter to continue.

  30. Select the required server and enter the required details.

  31. To configure the server manually, select the Manually select a specific Application server option.

  32. Select Yes option under License Manager, if you want to install the License Manager during ZIE for Web installation.
    Note:
    • If the Embedded Web Server option is not selected in the Web Server Panel, the Embedded Server will not be displayed on the License Manager panel.
    • If the Embedded Web Server option is not selected in the Web Server Panel, the Application Server Port and Application Server Secure Port fields will be displayed on the License Manager panel.
    • If the Embedded Web Server option is selected in the Web Server Panel but not selected in the License Manager Client, the Application Server Port and Application Server Secure Port fields will be displayed on the License Manager panel.


  33. Select the reuqired server and enter the required details.

  34. Under Database Configuration select any one of the following option for Database Server:
    • H2: For H2 Database Server, enter the Database Username and Database Password.
      Note: For OS 400, the Password will remain unmasked.
    • SQLITE
    • MYSQL: For MYSQL Database Server, select any one of the following option:
        • Database Driver
      • Database Username
      • Database Password
      • Database URL
    • DB2: For MYSQL Database Server, select any one of the following option:
      • Database Driver
      • Database Username
      • Database Password
      • Database URL
  35. Select the required IBM WebSphere Application.

  36. To configure the server manually, select the Manually select a specific Application server option.

  37. Press Enter to continue.
  38. The Pre-installation Summary screen appears.
  39. Review the installation summary carefully and press Enter to continue.

  40. The Installing screen appears, which displays the installation progress.

  41. After successful configuration, the Installation Complete screen appears.
  42. Press Enter to exit.
