HCL VersionVault provides two clients for software developers: local and remote. Each client supports different mechanisms for accessing source-controlled filesystem objects. Both clients provide graphical and command-line interfaces.

Remove Branch Type
Use the Remove Branch Type dialog to remove branch types in a base VersionVault (non-UCM project) VOB.

Remove Branch Type

Use the Remove Branch Type dialog to remove branch types in a base VersionVault (non-UCM project) VOB.

When you remove a branch type, any existing branches of that type are also deleted.

Note: Removing a branch type and any existing branches of that type destroys information irretrievably. Performing this action carelessly may compromise your organization's ability to support previous releases.

Controls in the window

The following controls appear in the window:


Control name	Control description
Branch Type	Name of the branch type to be deleted.
OK	Closes the Remove Branch Type window and deletes the branch type.
Cancel	Closes the Remove Branch Type window without deleting the branch type.

In some cases, certain branch types cannot be removed. If this happens, you are prompted with an error message to this effect.
