Make Baseline

Use the Make Baseline dialog to create a UCM baseline for the selected stream.

Controls in the dialog box

The following controls appear in the dialog box:

Control name	Control description
Base Name	The Base Name field appears if base names are enabled for the project. The text that you enter is used to create a name for the new baseline. If base names are used as part of a template, look at the Template Name field to see where the text you enter will appear in the baseline name. If the template consists only of the Base Name, the Template Name field is not displayed and the text you enter will be used for the full baseline name.
Template Name	The template used to create baseline names in the project. For example, <component>_<date>_<Base Name>, where <Base Name> is the text you entered in the Base Name field. If base names are not enabled for the project, you must accept the default baseline name.
Description	(Optional) Enter a description of the baseline.
Baseline Type	Select the type of baseline that you want to create. Select Incremental to create a baseline by recording the last full baseline and those versions that have changed since the last full baseline was created. Select Full to create a baseline by recording all versions below the component's root directory.
In Project	The project in which you are creating the baseline. This is a non-modifiable field.
For Stream	The stream where you are creating the baseline. This is a non-modifiable field.
OK	Confirms your selections and creates the baseline.
Cancel	Cancels the operation.
