Log in
Depending on the node that is currently selected in your VersionVault Navigator view, you can use this dialog box to log in to a VersionVault WAN server.
Log into VersionVault WAN server
If you using a web or automatic view and you attempt to connect by selecting a VersionVault element, view or server; or if you attempt to modify an element under VersionVault source control, you are prompted to enter credentials in the WAN dialog box. See Log in to the VersionVault WAN server
Store and use credentials
If you select this option, the user name that you enter for each server and/or database is stored across the current and all future sessions of the current workspace. The password is stored for the current session only.
For each server or database that you attempt to access, the client attempts to use the stored credentials. You are only prompted for credentials if the user name or password is not stored or is not correct. You can clear stored credentials by selecting a server, right-clicking and selecting Clear stored credentials.
- Same user name, same password for the VersionVault WAN server: enter user name only once during initial session; enter password only once during each session.
- Different user names, same password for the VersionVault WAN server: enter user name once for each server during initial session; enter password only once during each session.
- Same user names, different passwords for the VersionVault WAN server: enter user name only once during initial session; enter password once for each server during each session.
- Different user names, different passwords for the VersionVault WAN server: enter user name once for each server during initial session; enter password once for each server during each session.
