Adding a shortcut to an executable file in the Shortcut pane

About this task

You can add a tool shortcut that lets you run an executable file.

Procedure

  1. In the Shortcut pane, click the Toolbox tab. (If the Shortcut Pane is hidden, click View > Shortcut Pane. Then click the Toolbox tab.)
  2. Select or create a page on the Toolbox page.
    You can create shortcuts to executable files only on the Toolbox page.
  3. Right-click in the page and click Add Tool Shortcut.
    The Add a New Tool Shortcut window opens.
  4. Add information to the General, Program, and Icon pages.
    For example, to run a VersionVault tool, enter its program name in the Executable field on the Program page. (For typical examples of tools that you might run, see the following table).

  5. Click OK.
