Properties browser
You can use the Properties browser to view information about an HCL VersionVault object or type or object type, and to modify some of its properties. It is the graphic user interface (GUI) equivalent of the cleartool subcommand describe. Use the Properties browser to see the following items:
- The labels attached to a version
- The conditions under which a trigger type will fire
- Locks on a VOB or other object
On the Windows system, you can modify properties of all objects. On Linux, you can modify properties of UCM objects.
The properties displayed depend on the object or object type you select. You can modify some of these fields if you have the required permissions. However, some fields are read-only and cannot be modified. Also, some properties can be modified only through the cleartool command-line interface, not in the Properties browser.
You can open the Properties browser from many places in the HCL VersionVault user interface and in many different situations.
