To show or hide carriage returns in contributor panes

About this task

You can show or hide carriage returns in contributor panes.

Procedure

  1. Click Tools > Options.
  2. In the Options window, click Display.
  3. Do one of the following actions:
    • To make carriage returns visible, set one of the following options:
      • On Linux, Show Carriage Returns As

        On Linux, select the appropriate character from the pull-down list next to the check box to specify either ¬ (the default) or + as the character for representing carriage returns.

      • On Windows systems, Show Carriage Returns
    • To hide carriage returns, clear the related option.

Results

Changes made to this option are saved when you exit Diff Merge.
