        Use this dialog box to update a VersionVault web view, automatic view, or snapshot view or selected resources within such view types.
      - Restore Resources
        You restore a view's resources to reconcile disagreements between client and server about the state of the resources. Such disagreements are called discordances and can affect only web views and automatic views.

        Use this dialog box to add view-private resources (files and directories that are in a view but not under VersionVault control) to VersionVault.

        To modify a resource that you cannot check out because you are disconnected from the VOB server (in the case of a snapshot view) or from the VersionVault WAN server (in the cases of a web view or automatic view).
      - Undo Hijack
        Use the Undo Hijack dialog box to replace a hijacked file with the currently selected version from the VOB when using Web views.
      - Create working set
        Create a working set when you want the VersionVault Navigator view to display only the selected nodes and the resources under those node in the hierarchy. You can set the VersionVault Navigator to a different working set or back to the Default Working Set at any time.
      - Edit Working Set
        Use the Edit Working Set dialog box to add nodes to a working set, to replace the nodes in a working set, or to remove nodes from a working set.

        Enter the version of the element that you want to compare the selected version to.

        Use this dialog box to select an existing activity from the current stream. The activity you select is associated with the changes that you are making.
    - VersionVault properties view
      The HCL VersionVault properties view displays properties of elements, versions, VOBs, and VersionVault views. Some properties of elements, versions, and VOBs can be modified by a user with adequate privileges.
    - Pending Changes view
      The Pending Changes view enables you to preview and accept all changes to your view, to resolve conflicts, and to synchronize changes in both the Base VersionVault and UCM environments.
    - Compare/Merge view
      The Compare/Merge view displays contributor and/or output files for either compare operations or merge operations, depending on the context in which the view was accessed.

Log in to the VersionVault WAN server

Use this dialog box to connect to the VersionVault WAN server that supports the selected VersionVault web view or automatic view.

Connect to VersionVault server

Many operations in a VersionVault view require a connection to the VersionVault server that supports it. This dialog box allows you to connect to the VersionVault server that supports the selected VersionVault view. The VersionVault view tag of this view is listed in the message area of the dialog box. This dialog box displays whenever:

You are working in a view that is not connected and invoke a VersionVault operation that requires a connection
You attempt to access information or perform operations in a VersionVault node under a server node
You select a VersionVault view in the VersionVault Navigator and click the icon on the VersionVault toolbar or select Connect from the VersionVault context menu or from the VersionVault options in the menu bar

Controls in the dialog box

The following controls appear in the dialog box:


Control name	Control description
Server URL	The URL of the VersionVault WAN server that supports the selected VersionVault Web view. Note: You can place the cursor over this field to view a tool tip suggesting the form of the URL. The VersionVault Server URL takes the following form: http://<server:port>/ccrc
User Name	A user name that is valid on the VersionVault WAN server. Note: You can place the cursor over this field to view a tool tip suggesting the form of the user name. If the VersionVault server is running Windows, the user name must include the Windows domain in which the account was created. For example, DOMAIN\`user`.
Password	A password that is valid on the server for the user name.
Store and reuse credentials	If you select this option, the user name that you enter for each server and/or database is stored across the current and all future sessions. The password is stored for the current session only.
OK	Initiates the connection using the values in the User Name and Password fields.
Cancel	Cancels the operation.
Work Disconnected	Disconnects all server connections and disables operations that require a VersionVault WAN server connection. While working disconnected, you are not prompted to connect to a server when you attempt to perform operations that require a server connection.
