Moving an Eclipse project into HCL VersionVault
When you move an Eclipse project into a VersionVault repository, it they can be added to source control and shared with your team.
Before you begin
Procedure
To move an Eclipse project into HCL
VersionVault:
- In the Eclipse Package Explorer, select the project and then click .
- In the Eclipse Share Project dialog box, select VersionVault Explorer as the repository type and then click Next.

In the Move Project to VersionVault dialog
box, select a VersionVault view for the
project.
The view should be one that is associated with the Eclipse workspace from which you are moving the project. For more information, see VersionVault views and Eclipse workspaces.
- To use an existing VersionVault view that is already connected to the VersionVault WAN server, select it from the list and click Next.
- To use an existing VersionVault view that is not connected to the VersionVault WAN server, select it from the list and click Login to open the Log in dialog box. After the view is connected, click Next.
- To create a new base VersionVault view for the project, click Create View and create a new view. After you have created the view, select it and click Next.
- To create a new UCM VersionVault view for the project, click Join Project and create a new view. After you have created the view, select it and click Next.
- In the Move Project to VersionVault dialog box, select a folder in the view to contain the project. You can select Move project to a new project folder in the selected directory if you want to move both the project and the directory that contains it (the project folder) or you can select Move project content to the selected directory if you want to move only the project without the project folder. Click Finish.
