      - Modify the search path for reference pages
        The standard man and xman commands can locate reference page files in various locations. These programs can use (but do not require) a search path specified by the MANPATH environment variable. If you want to read HCL VersionVault reference pages using these programs, add the HCL VersionVault man directory to your reference pages search path.
      - Other HCL VersionVault search paths
        HCL VersionVault uses configuration files and environment variables to find various other resources that it might require during processing. In particular, some HCL VersionVault utilities need a way to distinguish different file types (text and binary files, for example) or to find a text editor. The graphical tools also need access to file typing data, icons and bitmaps, X Window System resource schemes, group files, and text editors.

Modifying the search path to include the bin directory

As part of the post-installation procedures, the search path of each client host environment must include the HCL VersionVault bin directory.

Note: The variable CLEARCASEHOME must be set if HCL VersionVault is installed at a location other than /opt/hcl/ccm/versionvault.
