Install HCL VersionVault clients and servers
The method that is used to install HCL VersionVault depends on the target platform and on your installation strategy.
Important: If you are migrating to HCL
VersionVault from IBM Rational ClearCase, see the
migration guide provided with the download of the HCL
VersionVault product before you try to install the
product. You must uninstall the ClearCase product before installing HCL
VersionVault. The products cannot be installed on the
same system. Additionally, VersionVault WAN
server cannot share a load
balancer across brands.
Before you install VersionVault client and
servers, make sure that you are prepared:
- Plan the installation: Complete prerequisite tasks, select an installation strategy, and review the processes that are required to complete the installation. See Enterprise software installation strategies.
- Understand how to install and use IBM® technologies for product installation. See Use IBM installation and packaging utilities.
