Verifying installation on individual hosts

Perform these tasks to determine whether HCL VersionVault is properly configured for an individual host. On Linux and UNIX systems, enter the commands listed in a shell. On Windows™, enter them at the command prompt.

• Check the installed version of HCL VersionVault, using cleartool –ver.
• Verify the names of your license server host and your registry server host, using cleartool hostinfo –long.
• Check your connection to the license server host. Use the clearlicense command to verify that you can access HCL VersionVault licenses.
• Check your connection to the registry server host, using the cleartool lsregion command. If the command returns without error, you are properly connected to the registry server host.
