Customizing your Android device

The HCL Verse client requires minimal configuration before it can sync with the HCL Traveler server. Device configurations and settings can be set and updated either automatically by the HCL Domino® Administrator with policy settings, or manually on the device by the user.

This topic describes how to manually customize your device.

Select mail and calendar for syncing?
  1. Select the HCL Verse icon.
  2. Open the navigation drawer by clicking its icon or swiping in from the left.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Applications.
  5. Check Sync Mail and Calendar.
  6. Select Back.
Change my application Theme (Dark Mode) setting?
  1. Select the HCL Verse icon.
  2. Open the navigation drawer by clicking its icon or swiping in from the left.
  3. Select Settings > Application > Theme.
  4. Select your desired application Theme.
Select other applications for syncing on Android devices?
  1. Select the HCL Verse icon.
  2. Open the navigation drawer by clicking its icon or swiping in from the left.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Applications.
  5. Select Sync Contacts to sync your address book contacts.
Issue a data replacement operation for Android devices?
  1. Select the HCL Verse icon.
  2. Select the overflow menu in the toolbar.
  3. Select Tools > Replace Data.
  4. Select the set of data that you want to replace:
    • Mail
    • Calendar
    • Contacts
  5. Select OK.
  6. Select Yes to proceed or No to cancel the replacement.
Change or reset the HCL Verse password on my Android device?
  1. Select the HCL Verse icon.
  2. Open the navigation drawer by clicking its icon or swiping in from the left.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Account.
  5. In the Password field enter your HCL Domino® HTTP password.
  6. Select OK to save and close.
Add my local calendars to the HCL Verse calendar view?
  1. Select the HCL Verse icon.
  2. Open the navigation drawer by clicking its icon or swiping in from the left.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Applications.
  5. Select Show Local Calendar.
  6. Select the Calendars Selected option.
  7. Choose which of your local calendars to import to the HCL Verse calendar view.
  8. Select OK.

Your local calendars will now display in the HCL Verse calendar view, and be included in the conflict list.
