What's new in Verse on Android?

The following features are new in Verse 14.0.x on Android:

  • Find a Time: When connecting to an HCL Traveler Server running 14.0.0 FP1 or newer release, HCL Verse on Android now includes support for viewing availability data when creating a new calendar meeting or appointment via the Find a time button in the calendar event editor on phones. It is automatically displayed on tablets in the calendar event editor for meetings and appointments.   • What's New Feature: This release adds support for a new framework for communicating information about new features as they are added to the HCL Verse for Android product. A new dialog will appear as new features are enabled providing a brief overview of the features. In this release the recently added Suggested Times feature will be highlighted on the first launch of the Calendar application.
  • Removal of Support for Android 8.x: Due to the lack of on-going security updates from Google, HCL Verse Android is no longer supporting devices running Android 8.x.

Suggested Times Support: HCL Verse on Android now includes support for displaying Suggested Times (invitee availability) when creating or editing Meetings and Appointments. This new feature is available when connecting to Traveler servers running 14.0.0 FP1 and newer. The list of Suggested Times for the next 7 days will appear underneath the Invitee section of the calendar event editor for Meetings and Appointments. This release also includes updates to the calendar event editor design based on Material 3 (Google's open-source design system) for selecting the dates and times for the Starts and Ends fields.
