Troubleshooting the Proxy server
Use this information on troubleshooting and logging tools to diagnose and resolve problems affecting the HCL Sametime Proxy server.
Enabling logging and tracing on the Proxy server
To enable tracing for the HCL Sametime 11 Proxy Server, in the folder with the Sametime proxy application, locate the "logging.properties" file located in the conf subfolder.

Enabling logging and tracing on the Proxy server

To enable tracing for the HCL Sametime 11 Proxy Server, in the folder with the Sametime proxy application, locate the "logging.properties" file located in the conf subfolder.

About this task

With a text editor, un-comment the two lines at the bottom of the file:
com.ibm.level=FINE
com.ibm.handlers = 2localhost.org.apache.juli.AsyncFileHandler
Restart the HCL Sametime Proxy Server to enable.

When sending data to the HCL Support team, be sure to include the entire contents of the "logs" folder.
