- By Sender mail view
The new By Sender view categorizes messages received by sender. Unlike the Inbox, it contains all messages you've received, even ones that you've moved to folders. This feature requires the IBM® Notes® 10 mail template (mail10.ntf).
- Schedule when messages are delivered
You can schedule a message to be delivered at a specific date and time. For example, you can send a message on the weekend but schedule it to be delivered during the week. This feature requires the IBM® Notes® 10 mail template (mail10.ntf).
- Keep multiple forwarded messages separate
You can select multiple messages in your Inbox and forward them as .eml attachments. This feature allows you to keep multiple messages separate rather than keeping them together in the forwarded message. This feature requires the IBM® Notes® 10 mail template (mail10.ntf).
- Second signature for replying and forwarding
You can create a mail signature to use just when you reply to or forward messages. This feature comes in handy if you use a long email signature in new messages but want to use a more concise version when you reply to or forward messages. This feature requires the IBM® Notes® 10 mail template (mail10.ntf).
- Delegate can archive with Editor access
A mail file delegate with Editor access and the Delete documents permission can now archive messages.
- Improved send mail errors and warnings
Your administrator has the option to put limits on messages that you send, such as limits on the number of attachments or recipients, among others. When you send a message that exceeds more than one of these limits, you'll see all error or warnings messages at once, rather than each in a separate window.
- Larger Junk Mail Senders list
Your Junk Mail Senders List can now contain up to 300 KB of data for addresses, 10 times more than before. This increase allows you to target more recipient addresses for the Junk folder. This enhancement requires the IBM® Notes® 10 mail template (mail10.ntf).
- STARTTLS support for Notes client SMTP connections
STARTTLS is an extension to the plain text authentication protocols that allows the use of TLS or SSL encrypted connections when connecting to mail servers that support STARTTLS. When STARTTLS is used there is no need to configure a separate port for encrypted communication. This feature requires the IBM® Notes® 10 mail template (mail10.ntf).
- Upgrade more mail file folders at one time
You can upgrade the design of folders at one time that together are as much as 300 KB in size. Prior to IBM® Notes® 10, you were limited to upgrading only 32 KB of folders at one time. This feature requires the IBM® Notes® 10 mail template (mail10.ntf).
