Prerequisites to Configure & Deploy HCL BigFix Service Management

The high-level steps that one needs to follow to configure & deploy HCL BigFix Service Management:

• HCL BigFix Service Management department deployment can be either public or dedicated, the platform for which is AWS Cloud.
• Ideally, it will be a public department deployment, wherein an department can be provisioned in either of the following regions : US, UK, Australia.
• In case, a customer's requirement is for a dedicated department, then the department procurement will depend on various factors which would be finalized case by case.
• Post department procurement, one needs to familiarize with how to use the Application Administration Console, which is the interface that will be used to complete each area of data configuration.
• To create a consumer company an application administrator can use the foundation department.
• The next step is to complete the data configuration in the order specified in the Foundation link.
• The process set up data such as Service catalog, CMDB data, approvals, service levels, notification triggers & assignment rules will be configured next in respective modules.
