Publish Real-Time Segment

After creating the real-time segment, you can send the real-time notifications, JSON, or events to third-party systems like Journey or other external APIs. To publish real-time segment data, follow the steps below:

1. In the HCL CDP Landing page, on the left pane, click Segments.

   OR

   In the Unica Platform Landing page, on the left pane, click Central > Segment Central > Realtime Segment.
2. On the Segments page, select a real-time segment to be published.
3. Click View Segment Detials. On the Engagements tab, select Journey API. To add engagement using Journey API, refer Create Engagement.
4. Select a configured API, and then click +Add Engagement.
5. In the General Information section, enter a unique name in the Engagement Name field.
6. In the Configure Parameters section, select your Target system.
7. Click Browse to select a Data Definition and an Entry Source.
8. In the Field Mapping section, map the Journey fields to the corresponding CDP Fields.
   Note: Map only the fields you want to send to the target system. Mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).
9. Click Save.
10. Click Preview to preview the JSON format of the selected attributes.
11. Click Save to publish the real-time segment data. The data will be published to the configured application say Unica Journey.
    Note: Make sure that the engagement is enabled before publishing.
