Setting up the Microsoft Visual Studio integration

About this task

To use the DevOps Code ClearCase® integration with Visual Studio, you must adhere to certain requirements.

Procedure

  1. Complete the Visual Studio and ClearCase installation tasks in this order.
    1. Install Microsoft Visual Studio.
    2. Install DevOps Code ClearCase Visual Studio integration with the DevOps Code ClearCase for Visual Studio package.

  2. When you are working with Visual Basic, save all .frm and .frx files for a project in the same directory.

Results

Installing DevOps Code ClearCase with the Microsoft Visual Studio Integration package enables the integration with Visual Basic and Visual J++. After the integration is enabled, you can complete ClearCase operations from the Visual Studio IDE.
