Setting up the Microsoft Visual Studio integration

About this task

To use the DevOps Code ClearCase® integration with Visual Studio, you must adhere to certain requirements.

Procedure

  1. Complete the Visual Studio and ClearCase® installation tasks in this order.
    1. Install Microsoft Visual Studio.
    2. Install DevOps Code ClearCase® Visual Studio integration with the DevOps Code ClearCase® for Visual Studio package.

  2. When you are working with Visual Basic, save all .frm and .frx files for a project in the same directory.

Results

Installing DevOps Code ClearCase® with the Microsoft Visual Studio Integration package enables the integration with Visual Basic and Visual J++. After the integration is enabled, you can complete ClearCase® operations from the Visual Studio IDE.
