About this task
Parameterized build provides an infrastructure for you to
create life cycle maps and define build parameters for each stage
in the life cycle. A life cycle map is a conceptual infrastructure
for helping you to think through and organize the various build parameters
you will need to define. You can define, for example, different build
parameters for the development, QA, and production stages of a development
life cycle. On the UNIX platform,
parameterized build uses a table-driven approach for configuring the
build project. See Creating a table-driven configuration for
instructions on using this approach.
