ACL Roles

The following list will highlight the existing roles as well as the features that will be made available to the user.

UserManagement

The following rights will be granted to the user via this role:

  • Search and view (description, meta information, member list) of all Activities, Blogs, Forums, Communities, Profiles and Wikis
  • 360° view of user Profiles
  • Overview of created content (list of Communities, file uploads, Wiki-comments)
  • Activate / inactivate users
  • Synchronize a Profile against the LDAP
  • Switch the UUIDs of two Profiles
  • Consolidate Profiles
  • Add and remove members or owners of Activities, Blogs, Communities, Forums and Wikis

BackupStore

The following rights will be granted to the user via this role:

  • Search and view (description, meta information, member list) of all Activities, Blogs, Forums, Communities, Profiles and Wikis
  • Export of all content to ICXT specific format
  • View and download exported content
  • Restore of content from ICXT exports (Contents are created under the name of the original author)
  • Comparison of content (e.g. of two wikis)
  • Consolidation of content

FixURLs

The following rights will be granted to the user via this role:

  • Search for URLs in all Connections-content (Community description, file comment, ActivityStream entry, etc.)
  • Replace URLs in all Connections-content (Community description, file comment, ActivityStream entry etc.)

OpenCommunity

The following rights will be granted to the user via this role:

  • Search and view (descrption, meta information) all Communities
  • Allow/Revoke external sharing for a Community

PolicyAdmin

The following rights will be granted to the user via this role:

  • Search and view (description, meta information) all Communities, Wikis
  • Manage Connections Policies
  • Set Policy limits for Wikis, Communities and Profiles

PDFExport

The following rights will be granted to the user via this role:

  • Search and view (descrption, meta information) all Activities, Blogs, Forums, Communities, Wikis
  • Transform and Export content (e.g. Wikipage) to PDF-document

Reports

The following rights will be granted to the user via this role:

  • Search and view (descrption, meta information, member list) all Activities, Blogs, Forums, Communities, Profiles, Wikis
  • Export a list of inactive content (e.g. no active owner available)
  • Export a list of orphaned content (e.g. no active user or no updates since n months)

ICXTSideBar

The ICXTSidebar enables frontend integration of the ICXT features for Connections users. Features available via the ICXTSidebar have to be additionally set in order to allow access for the users. These features are:

  • ICXTSideBar_MoveAndMerge : allows consolidation and compare of content items that the user is owner of
  • ICXTSideBar_PDFExport : allows PDF printing of content items that the user is editor of

ICXTMaintenance

The following rights will be granted to the user via this role:

  • Adjust trace settings on WebSphere Server level
  • Download all log files and ICXT configuration information (except passwords)

SQLViewer

The SQLViewer allows access to a read-only database interface granting access to read all tables and their content. Requires feature-activation.

ContentStaging

The ContentStaging allows access to features that help stage content to new HCL Connections environments, e.g. member sync.

ICXTAudit

The ICXTAudit allows access to the Audit log information gather via ICXT

ContentTemplating

The following rights will be granted to the user via this role:

  • Search and view (description, meta information, member list) all Activities, Blogs, Forums, Communities, Profiles, Wikis

MBeanNavigator

The MBeanNavigator allows access to MBeans provided by WebSphere and the Connections applications. They interface with WSAdmin commands and allow their execution.

MTTenantMerger

The MTTenantMerger allows access to features for managing Multi-Tenant enabled HCL Connections environments.

ic360Admin

The ICXT administrative user automatically receives all available roles, granting him access to all previously mentioned features as well as some admin-specific (e.g. changing access rights)
