Adding a remote store SFTP transport

Configure the SFTP transport method in the Commerce Lab. This allows you to work with the remote store Data Load utility scheduler job to periodically retrieve and apply changes to frequently-updated data.

Procedure

  1. Open Commerce Lab Tools, and from the left navigation menu select Administration > System Administration > Transports.
  2. All the listed transports are displayed.
    Note: Site or Store reference must be provided while creating Transport.
    • If you want to create new transport for Site, then proceed with clicking on New to create a new transport.
    • If you want to create new transport for any Store, then click on Show filters > Select Store. Select the store from the list and proceed with clicking on New to create a new transport for selected store.
  3. Click New. The New Transport page opens.
  4. Select the DataloadSFTP transport method.
  5. Click Next to configure the transport.
  6. The Transport configuration field is displayed. Note that this field is OPTIONAL. Depending upon the Transport name selected, configuration fields will vary.
  7. Enter the values to be used by the transport method:

    Host The host name or IP address for your external site.
    Port The port number for your external site. The default port number is 22.
    User name The user name that is used to access the external site.
    Password The password that is used to access the external site.
  8. Click Finish to save the new transport created. New transport type will be shown on the landing page.
    Note: New transport will always be in active state. Unless a transport is activated, you cannot assign it to a message type.

What to do next

Store data:

After you create your custom store and populate its bootstrap data, you can use the Catalog Upload feature in the Catalogs tool to upload sales catalogs, categories, catalog entries (products, SKUs, bundles, and kits), attributes, asset references, and more into Commerce Lab.

Cache invalidation:

After publishing your store, if cache invalidation function is enabled, the new published store can be browsed directly without restarting server by completing the following flow: After the remoteStoreDataload scheduler is completed, wait for the predefined DynaCacheInvalidation schedule to be completed. Then, update the registry from the Commerce Lab.
