Uninstalling WebSphere Commerce maintenance packages
Uninstalling a maintenance package restores the WebSphere Commerce product files to the previous level. These instructions also remove the maintenance package code from those WebSphere Commerce instances that were updated at the same time the maintenance package was applied to your system.
About this task
WebSphere Commerce instances that were created after the installation of a maintenance
package cannot be restored to a lower level. For example, if an instance is created after you
upgrade to Fix Pack 5, the instance cannot be restored to a lower level, such as Fix Pack 1. Instead
of attempting to restore the instance, create a new instance.
Note: Maintenance
package that were installed by the root user must be uninstalled by the root user.
Procedure
- Log on with a user ID that is a member of the Windows Administration group.

Log on.
- As a root user
- Or as a non-root user that owns WC_installdir
- Log on with a user profile that has *SECOFR authority.

Complete one of the following steps.
- To remove the maintenance package from the WebSphere Commerce product, stop the following servers:
- To remove the maintenance package from the WebSphere Commerce instance only, start the
following servers:
- WebSphere Commerce database server.
- WebSphere Commerce Application Server. For example, server1.
- If you have a federated environment,
- The WebSphere Application Server
