The server with which the IBM Sales Center communicates
must be defined on the Communication preferences page before you can
log on to the IBM Sales Center. This information might be predefined
for you. Contact your administrator if a server is not specified.
About this task
If you want to set your own communication preferences, perform
the following actions:Note: The options that are documented in the
following steps display only when you initially launch IBM Sales Center.
To view these options when you later launch the application, you must launch
IBM Sales Center in administrator mode. For more information, see
Opening the Sales Center in administrator mode.
Procedure
- Log
on to the IBM Sales Center.
- Click .
- Click IBM Sales Center.
- Click Communication.
- Enter appropriate information in the following fields:
- Server (For example: hostname.ibm.com)
- HTTPS port (For example: 8000)
- Under SSL Mode select one of the
following options:
- Trust all
- Always accepts data from secure sites.
- Certificates
- Uses certificates to identify which secure connections to accept
data from. If you select this option, you must specify the following
values:
- Trust location
- The location where you store your certificates for use with the
IBM Sales Center.
This location points to a JKS (Java keystore)
file. To create the file, complete the following steps:
- Open the ikeyman utility from the directory: c:\webSphere\AppServer\bin\ikeyman.bat.
- Open to .
- In the KeyDatabaseType field select JKS.
- Provide the file name and location to save the file.
- Provide a password.
- Click .
- In the key label field, type
IBM
and then click OK.
- Copy the .jks file to the UI client folder
and point to that location in . Ensure that the location contains the complete filepath, including
the file name.
- Trust password
- The password to the trust location.
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
