Installing, configuring and deploying: WebSphere Commerce

To use SSFS as an external OMS, configuration changes must be performed to WebSphere Commerce to accommodate the integration.

Important: Review the following information for your version of WebSphere Commerce:

Review information about APAR fixes for integration of IBM WebSphere Commerce and IBM Sterling Order Management. You can integrate Sterling Order Management with WebSphere Commerce using either Direct Integration or IBM® WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (WESB) integration. With Direct Integration, the functions to convert message content and format are performed by services in the Sterling Order Management Service Definition Framework (SDF). Procedure

Enable WC to use an external OMS, using the following message type URL values to point to the WESB mediation module:

External Inventory System

http://WESB_HOSTNAME:WESB_PORT/WCToSSFSMediationModuleWeb/sca/WCInventoryServicesExport

External Order System

http://WESB_HOSTNAME:WESB_PORT/WCToSSFSMediationModuleWeb/sca/WCOrderServicesExport
Use the WebSphere Application Server standard deployment method to deploy the WCDE_installdir/components/sterling-integration/samples/stores/Madisons directory to: WC_eardir/Stores.war/storedir
This enables the updated order status display page for the Madisons starter store.
Add the necessary rows to the database tables listed on the following page:
